International Forum on Processes and Services of Wetland Ecosystems was held at Northeast Institute of Geography and Agroecology (IGA), Chinese Academy of Sciences, from July 28 to August 3, 2013 in Changchun.
More than two hundred scientists from six different countries including US, Romania, Russia, Japan, Koran and China presented the forum. They launched academic exchanges on wetland ecological processes, functions, services, responses to global climate change.
Pro. Xingtu Liu, member of Chinese Academy of engineering and Pro. Xingyuan He, Director General of IGA addressed at the opening ceremony. They hoped that the this forum will help further identify some of the key priorities of cooperation with our international partners and will serve as a significant milestone in the further facilitation and upgrade of our existing cooperation, exchanges and partnership in wetland science.
The forum was co-sponsored by Louisiana State University. Forestry Department of Jilin Province, China Office, Wetlands International, and Wetland Ecology Committee of Chinese Society of Ecology are greatly acknowledged for their support to the forum.
